Toshi’s first exposure to Market Force was in 2005. Since that introduction, Toshi has met with Travis Carson almost every week as he has built his and refined his business. Twice each year, Toshi delivers a week-long Executive Education program called Financial Analysis for Non-Financial Executives at UC Berkeley, and has had Travis speak at FANFE since 2010 on Language as Technology.
Why Market Force?
The material is simple and insightful, which is a great combination because it’s easy to learn and then it makes a large impact on your business as you use it and share it with others.
Favorite Market Force Story?
Mine is less a story and more of a consistent experience. Each time I use the material – whether it’s thinking about the Style of a potential client before sending an email or following the Work Flow Model to help me manage projects – I find that things go smoother and easier. Whenever I stray from the fundamentals, miscommunications and issues tend to increase. I’ve learned to stick to the fundamentals!
Favorite Market Force Tool?
I like the Language as Technology discussion. Again, it’s a simple tool, but delivers tremendous value – so much so that I have incorporated the discussion into my teachings at UC Berkeley.
