Paula joined Market Force in 2018 and with her business partner, Marcel Dabdoub, offers training in Latin America, Europe and in the United States. Having translated and culturally adapted the Market Force framework materials into Spanish, she delivers our programs both in Spanish and in English.
Before joining Market Force Paula worked as a Research Strategist at Cultural Edge, Inc, a boutique cross-cultural market research firm where she applied her insight into cultural context to help clients assess their target better. She also served as a moderator for qualitative projects and designed and developed new approaches based in the Humanities and Social Sciences to report findings.
Prior to her agency experience, Paula held positions as a lecturer and researcher in Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies Programs at the University of Virginia and the University of California San Diego. Paula holds a PhD in Latin American Literature and Cultural Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
An experienced translator (English/Spanish/French), she has also conducted interdisciplinary research on visual culture, street art, comics, science fiction, cosmopolitanism, cultural migrations, and consumerism, published articles in specialized journals and books, and presented her findings to audiences in the U.S. and abroad.
Born in Argentina, she lived in France and in several cities across the US before arriving to San Diego, where she lives with her two sons.
