Mindy was first introduced to the Market Force model at Colliers International, approximately 6 years ago and felt an immediate connection to the material. “I instantly loved the model because it was simple, easy to understand, provided a framework for not only self-awareness and understanding, but awareness and insight into others’ styles, with whom I was interacting. And most of all – it provided a common language from which the organization could communicate.” As Mindy easily acclimated to the full suite of Productivity Tools, she began to help teach the material to others around the world from her position as Global Chief Human Resources Officer.
Why Market Force?
I love Market Force because of the simplicity and expediency of gaining knowledge and insight, as well as the multiple applications that the tools provide, well beyond simply being a style analysis tool. There is a ton of application that comes with these tools. Also – what I have really appreciated about Market Force, is that it provides a foundation for focusing on what people’s strengths are. Fundamentally, we are better off to look toward the gifts and strengths that people bring to the table, rather than always focusing on what is wrong with individuals and how we can “fix them”. Market Force provides tools to understand people’s fundamental motivations and styles, so that we can ensure that people are best positioned for success in our organization.

I loved hearing the stories about how people used Market Force to better understand their spouses and children, and how they were integrating the language not only at work, but also in their personal lives. That really showed me the high value people placed on the tools.
Favorite Market Force Tool?
I found that over the course of time, we got great utility out of teaching teams about the Breakdown Recovery Model. Every team is going to have ups and down, and breakdowns are inevitable, but the real key, is learning how to successfully navigate and work through them, quickly and effectively.
