I chose Market Force for our team because the principles are applicable across all aspects of life and business. It’s much like a game in that you can continually improve your performance. Unlike many of the other tools out there that give you an indicator and a definition, Market Force gives you a foundation and tools to use to apply the learning. I continue to find new challenges that I can apply the tools to improve performance.
Favorite Market Force Story?
My favorite Market Force story comes a year or so after I introduced my team to the material. I was in a meeting with my leadership team when I made a request to one of my managers and they responded with what’s the “X by Y”. As a control, this annoyed me significantly as first but I couldn’t help but laugh as it proved they were hearing the message.
Favorite Market Force Tool?
My favorite Market Force tool is the Breakdown Recovery Model. Any time we face a breakdown we can point to this model and immediately shift focus to our intention and take immediate action. This has improved our ability to manage through breakdowns and has created excitement from our clients on how quickly we solve challenges. This model hangs on posters all over our building.
